This piece was a commissioned work and it is now hanging in a private residence in Boulder, CO. The client asked me to bring the outdoors "In." I borrowed the curve of the foothills visible through the window used that line to form the design of the piece. The colors are inspired by the woods outside this client's home and the rich greens and browns of the forest are reflected in this piece of art.
This work can be recreated with the allowance for unique differences or used as inspiration for a custom piece of your own.
This wall hanging measures 9 ft long x 4ft tall and stands out from the wall approximately 5 inches. I absolutely love working on large scale commissions, so please get in touch if you're interested in something similar. I hand dye all of my own yarns, so matching a particular space or color palette is right up my alley! I love working all manner of hanging tapestries, modern fiber art and woven wall hangings, so please send me a message for more details on pricing etc. All custom work starts at $900 and is priced by square foot. Prices range between $120- $180/ square ft based on design and color palette.

Made from hand felted and woven Australian sheep's wool, this is a statement piece that is ideal for large spaces. It provides wonderful warmth and texture and can also be very useful for sound absorption.
